"We are well prepared and we will give our all" - Grant Kekana

Bafana Bafana defender Grant Kekana has reiterated that the mood in the Bafana Bafana camp ahead of their encounter with Tunisia is that of hope and belief that they will overcome the North Africa side.

Needing just a draw or a victory to progress to the 2023 AFCON last 16, Bafana Bafana are currently occupying the second spot in group E on three points while Tunisia are languishing on the fourth position in the same group.

Understanding the magnitude of the encounter and how pivotal it is to claim a positive result, Kekana is confident that Hugo Broos' charges will emulate the same performance that saw them demolish Namibia 4-0 over the past weekend.

"We have prepared well for Tunisia and everyone is confident that after 90 minutes we will be in the last 16 of the tournament.

Obviously, it’s a big game and we don’t want to be going home early, so we will do our best to get a positive result against Tunisia," Kekana said.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has also revealed that their fate in the tournament lies in their own hands.

"We know what we can achieve, so we will be ready and we will fight for everything to have a good result, what is a good result? First of all it is not losing and that should give us certainty of going to the next round.

Our first goal heading into the tournament has always been to pass the first test of getting out of the group stages and I think there’s a chance for us to achieve that," Broos added.

Kick-off at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium is on Wednesday evening is 19:00 pm.
