The second weekend of May will see Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in action against SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United respectively while Mamelodi Sundowns visit Wydad Casablanca and the Currie Cup continues
1. Pirates look to cement their runners-up spot in the DSTV Premiership
Fresh from knocking out their arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup semi-final last weekend, Orlando Pirates will turn their focus to the DStv Premiership as they host Sekhukhune United at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
A victory for the Buccaneers will see them tighten their grip on the runners-up spot in the DStv Premiership table with only one match to go.
Pirates are currently lying second on the log with 50 points after 28 matches leading third place SuperSport United by two points.
Facing a Sekhukhune side that is also in the hunt for a top 8 finish will not go down as an easy encounter for the Buccaneers considering the fact that Babina Noko got the better of Jose Riveiro's men in the reverse fixture last year, winning 2-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
With the two teams set to play each other again two weeks from now, both Riveiro and Brandon Truter will use the encounter on Saturday to prepare better for the Nedbank Cup final on the 27th of May at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
