Mamelodi Sundowns' latest signing Lesiba Nku has revealed that he is excited to join Mamelodi Sundowns and it is at Sundowns where he will unleash his maximum potential as a professional soccer player.
Nku was unveiled by Sundowns last week Thursday on the 29th of June 2023 arriving on a long-term deal from the now relegated Marumo Gallants FC.
The 27-year who is looking to help Sundowns win another DStv Premiership title as well as the CAF Champions League has reiterated that he also wants to become one of the best players in the league by virtue of playing for the Brazilians.
"Firstly I am happy to be here at Sundowns and the reality is that there is no time to play here, I have to hit the ground running because this is where you will see the best of me.
I think I will achieve more here because I am here to win trophies inclusive of the league and the CAF Champions League," Nku said.
While the attacking player is versatile in all forms on the pitch, he has likened his style of play to that of Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez.
"Although I have played as a defender before, my most comfortable position now is playing as a winger on the right hand-side just like Mahrez," Nku added.
Meanwhile, the DStv Premiership champions have already started with their pre-season duties and will travel to Rustenburg this week to continue their preparations ahead of the new season.
