Mamelodi Sundowns midfield maestro Sipho Mbule has reiterated that he needs to improve on being more involved in Sundowns' goal contributions ahead of the new PSL season.

Mbule who joined Sundowns from SuperSport United at the beginning of 2022/23 DStv Premiership season became a regular in Sundowns' starting XI as he played an integral part of the side's midfield.

After making 26 appearances for the Brazilians in all competitions, Mbule went on to win his maiden DStv Premiership title although he admits it wasn't an easy season.

"I knew when I came here that it's not going to be easy because everyone here at the club is experienced and plays quality football, I remember contemplating on am I good enough to play for Sundowns and competing with some of the best because that's just how good everyone is here."

Despite Mbule's concerns that have now been dissolved, the 25-year-old is already focusing on the upcoming season and has alluded that he wants to improve his performance particularly when it comes to helping the side score goals.

"My plans for the upcoming season is to score more goals, get involved more and also play more, I also believe I need to improve on creating more goalscoring chances.

Another key element that I have observed is that as a team we have been doing well but we just need to improve on managing the game," Mbule said.

The former SuperSport United player is also optimistic that he will win more trophies next season.

"Although we have won the league, I wanted to win everything, the league, champions league and the domestic cups on offer however, the new season grants us with another opportunity to try again," Mbule added.
