Miguel Timm's return gives Pirates a major boost

By Neo Poho

Ahead of their DStv Premiership clash against Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday evening, Orlando Pirates will be delighted to welcome back midfielder Miguel Timm.

Timm was out of action due to serving a two-match ban after receiving a red card against Mamelodi Sundowns in a league encounter at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on the 17th of February 2024.

Heading into the encounter against Cape Town Spurs, Pirates are still unbeaten in the new year in all competitions and they will look to continue with that momentum as they edge closer to the second spot on the league table.

Alongside Timm who has been consistent this season, the Soweto giants will also look to teenage star, Relebohile Mofokeng who continues to enjoy a mercurial rise in Bucs colours, enjoying a bigger role in the first team in only his second season of senior football.

Possessing immense skill and confidence on the ball, Mofokeng has emerged as one of the Buccaneers’ most potent creative players.

Jose Riveiro's charges will however, be without defender Olisa Ndah who is suspended for the clash.

Kick-off at the Orlando Stadium is 19:30 pm.
