Jose Riveiro praises Evidence Makgopa's confidence

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has expressed his delight at Evidence Makgopa's confidence ahead of the Nedbank Cup last 32 clash against Crystal Lake and the second half of the DStv Premiership.
Riveiro who was present at the Nedbank Cup press conference on Thursday afternoon at the PSL headquarters in Johannesburg, alluded that Makgopa's confidence is currently at its peak and he hopes the lanky striker will continue to build on from that form and improve his game while also helping the Buccaneers win matches.
"I think the biggest change we have seen from Makgopa ever since he came back from AFCON with Bafana Bafana is his confidence, I have to admit that it wasn't easy for him when he first started playing for us but now he is improving and his confidence is at the highest level.
Although he was also criticised a lot by the Pirates supporters he managed to navigate himself out of that unfair criticism and rather use the criticisms as motivation to improve his game," Riveiro said.
After having a stellar AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast for Bafana Bafana and scoring a goal against Morocco in the process, Riveiro is adamant that no one will ever doubt Makgopa's potential as a striker.
"After his great performance in the AFCON I believe no one has any doubts about his capabilities and what he has to offer.
As we have already started the second half of the season, I believe he also knows that there is still room for improvement and I have no doubts that he will only excel from what he has built so far," Riveiro added.
Pirates will travel to the Mbombela Stadium to face Crystal Lake in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday afternoon.
Kick-off in that encounter is 15:00 o'clock.
