The Joburg Super Kings will welcome the Sunrises Eastern Cape in the Betway SA20 semifinals at the SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium on Thursday night.

With the Pretoria Capitals having already booked their spot in the final of the tournament after defeating Paarl Royals on Wednesday, Joburg Super Kings will look to also follow suit by getting the better of the Eastern Cape side.

Captain Faf du Plessis will be an anchor for the Super Kings who have relied on the right-handed batsman on several occasions in the tournament so far, the aggressive yet relentless batsman will look to his opening pair partner Janneman Malan to support him in a bid to overcome the side from Eastern Cape.

Not only will the Super Kings look to Du Plessis and Malan however, the side from Joburg also have Donovan Ferreira who has been a marvel to watch in the tournament so far, Ferreira along with Kyle Verreynne and Reeza Hendricks pose a lot of experience in the middle order of the Joburg side.

With the home ground advantage also going to play an important role in the match, Aaron Phangiso, Alzarri Joseph, Kyle Simmonds and Gerald Coetzee will certainly hope the pitch works into their favour as they look to swing the ball and get the much needed wickets for the Joburg side.

Meanwhile the Sunrises Eastern Cape head into this clash weeks after just acquiring the services of Proteas captain Temba Bavuma, Bavuma joined the Eastern Cape side at a very crucial moment with the team looking to reach the final too.

Bavuma joins the likes of Aiden Markram, JJ Smuts and Marques Ackerman who are all in superb form in the tournament so far.

Having qualified for the semifinals by occupying the 3rd spot on the SA20 table, the side from Eastern Cape will look to cause an upset at a packed SuperSport Park Stadium.
