"He will get better" - Rulani Mokwena on Lesiba Nku

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena believes there is still more to come from new signing Lesiba Nku after his brace against Golden Arrows in their DStv Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.

Having joined Sundowns from Marumo Gallants during the transfer window, Nku finally opened his account for the Brazilians in their 4-0 victory to help the defending champions keep their 100% record in the 2023/24 PSL season.

With Nku still settling in and getting accustomed to the culture and structure of Sundowns, Mokwena has warned that there is still more to come from the new signing.

"There is still a lot to come from Lesiba because he is the right player and he is at the right club with the right teammates and right brothers around him, I know when we signed him there were a lot of question marks, but that shows that sometimes, in South Africa, we are not very patient, but I am glad he puts in a performance like that when he gets his first start.

He will get better as there are still a lot of things to improve on him, he will settle and he will do well because he has good teammates around him and he is a good human being too," Mokwena said.

With a very busy schedule on the horizon for  Masandawana in the coming few months, Nku will be hoping to get some more game time in his quest of improving and getting better in the colours of Mamelodi Sundowns.

They next travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium for a clash with Chippa United on Saturday evening.
