MEC for Education in the North West, Mmaphefo Matsemela joins world education leaders in wishing teachers the best on World Teachers’  Day. 

The day is celebrated under the theme *"the transformation of education begins with teachers"*

Matsemela spends this day visiting spring camps in Bojanala district, encouraging teachers to continue being beacons of hope in the communities they serve. 

“I take this time to wish you our esteemed teachers well  on this special day, set aside us to acknowledge and appreciate you our agents of change, our revolutionaries , society builders. For centuries on end you have molded better people out of  us. Even the best leader in the world came from the hands of a teacher.  Truly, transformation begins with you. Today, we wish to thank you for selflessly giving your time  building and transform us to be what we are today. Our learners are blessed to have you and so are we.

World Teachers’ Day is  internationally renowned  to commemorate and congratulate teachers for a sterling job done in educating the world.
