Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has welcomed the decision by the Constitutional Court on former president Jacob Zuma. He said the decision made by the Concourt to sentence Zuma for 15 months in jail for contempt when he defied a court order to appear before the State Capture Inquiry of reaffirms the supremacy of the constitution

The inquiry has been granted an extension until the end of September. The Commission will hear oral evidence from important witnesses, including President Cyril Ramapahosa.
