SA Records 1,210 New Covid-19 Cases And 219 More Deaths.

In the past 24 hours South Africa has recorded 1,210 new Covid-19 cases as well as 219 more deaths. The  Department of  health  says the cumulative cases now sit on 1 494 119. Many people are asking if not South Africa is approaching the third wave of the virus.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says the  cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 737 330 with 24 486 new tests recorded since the last report.

Deaths and Recoveries
Regrettably, 219 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 20, Free State 9, Gauteng 56, Kwa-Zulu Natal 43, Limpopo 29, Mpumalanga 10, Northern Cape 14 and Western Cape 38 which brings the
total to 48 313 deaths

The Department of Health  conveys their condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

The recovery rate now stands at 1 396 951, representing a recovery rate of 93,5%
