Spotify Greasy Tunes, the ultimate fusion of music and cuisine in Johannesburg! This month-long pop-up event pairs South African food with music. Don't miss the spotlight on two phenomenal artists: Elaine, will take the stage tonight (Friday), followed by Moonchild Sanelly tomorrow (Saturday).

Johannesburg's party scene is on fire as Spotify Greasy Tunes, the sensational month-long pop-up event, brings together the best of South African music and cuisine.

With the celebration already in full swing, influencers and media gathered last weekend for an unforgettable launch. This one-of-a-kind experience celebrates the heart and soul of Johannesburg, from its music playlists to its greasy South African meals.

Step into the transformed venue at 5 De Beer Street, where the Spotify Greasy Tunes cafe is alive with the vibrant spirit of Johannesburg's cultural communities. Drawing inspiration from township kota cafes, the setup features outdoor table tennis, mini pool tables, and Jenga, promising endless fun for all. 

A treat Snack -skopas

And the food? Oh, it's a treat! Snack on nuts in jars and the famous "skopas," rainbow mielie pops, while indulging in cheese-infused pap and township-style slap chips. The fusion of flavours will leave you craving for more!

But let's talk about the real stars of the show – the artists! The electrifying performances by Yolophonik and Cornelius SA on the opening night set the tone for a month filled with house and dance music culture, aptly themed Mint: Feast on South Africa's Best Electronic Dance Music, House, and Afrotech.

Don't miss tonight's spotlight on the immensely talented Elaine, known for her captivating vocals and artistic flair. And brace yourself for tomorrow's (Saturday) fiery performance by Moonchild Sanelly, who will ignite the stage with Afrobeats.
