Ahead of their second AFCON group E match against Namibia on Sunday evening, Bafana Bafana have received a message of support from the 2023 Rugby World Cup winning captain, Siya Kolisi.

This comes after Bafana Bafana suffered a 2-0 loss to Mali in their opening match of the on Tuesday night at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo.

With the encounter against Namibia being a must win clash for Hugo Broos' charges to keep their hopes alive of going through to the knockout phase of the tournament, Kolisi said he is fully behind the team.

"Bafana Bafana, we just want to remind you who has worn that jersey before you, those were the glory years of our country and those were the glory years of our team.

I still believe we can turn it around and I wish you all the best for the AFCON as the whole country is behind you, we support you, we love you and you are a team that has carried the nation in so many ways so please just give everything that you can and things will turn around," Kolisi lamented.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana midfielder Sphephelo Sithole is also confident of victory against Namibia on Sunday night.

"I think we need to win the game to be on the safe side, a win can be more than enough for us, yes the first game was more difficult because the opponent knew what our strengths were, but I think in the first half we dominated the game.

We now have another chance to redeem ourselves and we will surely grab it with both hands," Sithole added.

Kick-off at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo on Sunday is 22:00 pm.
