Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's four-man transfer wishlist as he prepares Man Utd rebuild

By Joburg Post

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has drawn up a four-man shortlist as he looks to rebuild his Manchester Unitedteam when the summer transfer window opens.

The Norwegian is ready to part company with up to five players to free up funds for his dream signings, and turn United back into a team capable of competing for the title.

Solskjaer was given the Manchester United manager's job on a permanent basis just last week and is already looking to put his stamp on the Old Trafford club - and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is on board.

His top summer target, as reported by Mirror Sport, is Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund teenager will set the Red Devils back £100million, but he is currently one of football's brightest young talents and would be a long-term investment.

The former Manchester City star appears keen on a move back to the Premier League, and even re-tweeted a post in which Rio Ferdinand admitted he'd love to see him in a Red Devils shirt.

The second man on Solskjaer's summer wishlist is Chelsea midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The teenager has been attracting serious attention from abroad in recent months, with Bayern Munich very keen on landing him.

Dortmund are also looking at the Englishman, who they see as a possible replacement for Sancho, should he leave in the summer.

The youngster would set Manchester United back a small fortune, and would likely be an alternative to Sancho, should the Red Devils miss out on their top target.

Chelsea would also be reluctant to let Hudson-Odoi go to a Premier League rival - or at all, given the fact they've been hit with a transfer ban.

Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the third player on Manchester United's transfer wishlist.

The Red Devils are in desperate need of bringing in reinforcements in defence what with Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia reaching the end of their careers.

The final player on Manchester United's wishlist is Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been a transfer target for some time now.

The Napoli centre-back was linked with a move away from Serie A in January, and the Red Devils will face serious competition for his signature.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Benfica attacker Joao Felix are United targets and have both been scouted by the club.

But the aforementioned four are top of Solskjaer's wishlist.

Meanwhile, defensive trio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian are all set to leave, and Ander Herrera and Juan Mata could join them.
