Q: What is your favourite hangout spot in Joburg and why?
A: The Fifa 2010 world cup was truly been a blessing to our country. It elevated Johannesburg to a world class city, we now boost 5 star boutique hotels that also cater for residential patron. The Atholl Place Boutique Hotel is my favourite hangout spot, great ambiance and the food is just amazing.
Q: What are your favourite things to do in Joburg ?
A: Jozi is a concrete jungle and the rat race never stops. So I enjoy being in the open field. Horse riding and picnics at the botanical gardens with friends are a few of my favourite things to do.
Q: Who are two most favourite Joburg residents for you and why?
A: It has to be my sister and aunt, its comforting to know that my family is close and I can go see the whenever I want.
Q: What’s your earliest memory of the city?
A: Being in down town Jo’burg and thinking to myself “there’s just too many people here...” LOL
Q: What’s your favourite iconic feature about the city ?
A: The Mandela Bridge in Newtown. Down town Jozi has always had a stigma with regard to crime however with the gentrification of Braamfontien and Maboneng District, the bridge has literally brought the city together. Madiba’s legacy lives on, bringing all South Africans together.
Q: What makes the city special for you ?
A: You can make your dreams become a reality!
Q: What is a must do and see in the Joburg?
A: Definitely spending a Sunday afternoon in Maboneng.
Q: What’s the most underrated place in the city ? Your hidden gem.
I think there’s nothing underrated about Jozi. Every place in Jo’burg is an extraordinary experience.
