The Power of Words: "Champions get the job done even when they don't feel like it"

By Neo Poho

This week on the Power of Words feature we get inspired by the words of Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena.

During a post match interview after the Tshwane Derby victory, Mokwena shared a very powerful message to members of the media about how important it is to have a winning mentality at all times.

"Champions get the job done even when they don't feel like it."

The power that lies within these words is that of having a resilient spirit in the manner of approaching any obstacle in your life, sometimes individuals tend to allow the pressures of life to suppress them and as a result give up or just get demotivated easily.

In the midst of all that, the best thing you can do for yourself is to reflect and ask yourself this question, am I a champion? and if the answer is yes, then just like Mokwena describes it, get up and refuse to believe why you can't do it but rather do it even when you don't feel like it.

Champions always have a winning mentality, against all odds they always get things done because the goal at the end of the day is to win and come out victorious.

Champions get tired too, champions get frustrated too, champions face challenges too however, the winning consciousness never fades away in the mind of a champion.

Today as we look at the DSTV Premiership table, it is no surprise to see Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of log with such a huge point difference of 23 points from second place SuperSport United.

Under the guidance of Mokwena, Sundowns have cultivated the spirit of excellence and confidence that is why it becomes so easy for Sundowns to win literally 15 matches in succession without a loss or a mere draw.

Always remember, human beings are naturally creatures of habits, if your habits are constantly focused around productivity, success, winning and positive energy then your life is more likely to shape up in that direction too.

Words can either build or destroy so let the words of Rhulani Mokwena inspire you to have a winning mentality at all times, because if you can conquer in your mind first then you have also conquered in reality.
