Mamelodi Sundowns will turn their attention back to the DSTV Premiership on Tuesday afternoon without the services of Teboho Mokoena when they welcome Richards Bay at Loftus Versfeld.

Fresh from their CAF Champions League quarter-final triumph over the past weekend against CR Belouizdad in Algeria, Sundowns arrived back home in South Africa on Monday morning.

Having already won the league title, the Brazilians will look to get back to their winning ways in the league against a Richards Bay side that is fighting for a top 8 finish in the league.

However, they will have to do so without midfield maestro Mokoena as he is serving a one-match ban after accumulating four yellow cards in the domestic competitions.

Mokoena received his fourth bookable offense against Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash on the 15th of April 2023.

Having played 34 matches in all competitions so far, Mokoena has scored two goals and also provided two assists in his maiden season with the Brazilians.

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau has raised concerns of fatigue ahead of the Richards Bay encounter, Mudau who was part of the team that thrashed CR Belouizdad on Saturday night insisted that despite the fatigue, they will be ready for the game on Tuesday.

"Obviously we are a little bit tired but we have a serious game to look at and we will be ready on Tuesday, I think the mentality is right for the boys because we have to win, we have been drawing and losing so we need to bring the team's winning culture back.

Richards Bay is obviously a good side but I believe if we can go into the encounter with the right mentality and right energy we will make sure we win the game," Mudau said.

Kick-off at Loftus Versfeld is at 15:00 o'clock.
