Ronwen Williams, Thapelo Morena, Aubrey Modiba, Grant Kekana, Mothobi Mvala, Teboho Mokoena, Themba Zwane and Cassius Mailula were the retained players from Sundowns in the preliminary squad that was selected last week.

With no Kaizer Chiefs player in the current squad, Orlando Pirates saw Innocent Maela, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Zakhele Lepasa and Monnapule Saleng getting the nod from Broos as Bafana gear up for a training camp on the 19th of March.

It was no surprise to see former Kaizer Chiefs player Njabulo Blom who has had a great start at his new club St. Louis City also being named in the 24 men squad.

Ah Ahly's Percy Tau and Burnley's Lyle Foster have also been included in the squad as Bafana will look to get the much needed three points to get off the mark in the group.

Bafana Bafana will host the West African nation on Friday, 24 March (18:00) at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, and play again four days later on Wednesday, 28 March (18:00 SA time) in the Liberian capital of Monrovia.

Bafana's ticket to Ivory Coast can be booked with victories in both fixtures before their final Group K match against Morocco in June.

Broos's charges lost their opening game of Group K 2-1 against Morocco in Rabat in June 2022 while Liberia lost their first game 2-0 at home to Morocco, also in June last year.
