Patrick Maswanganyi reveals reasons behind his impressive form at Pirates

On form Orlando Pirates midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi has revealed why he has found it easy to settle and cement his place in Pirates' starting XI.
Maswanganyi who joined the Buccaneers from SuperSport United ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season has featured in all four Pirates' matches in the league so far going on to also score his first goal in the black and white colours of the Sea Robbers in their 2-0 win over Cape Town City on Tuesday evening.
Having also being named the man of the match in that encounter, Maswanganyi has outlined that working with quality players has made it easy for him to deliver the goods under head coach Jose Riveiro.
"I would firstly like to thank my teammates for the great work that we put in during the week, to the coaches as well for always motivating me and making sure that I improve daily, secondly I just want to add that everything starts from self-belief because when I came here I knew exactly what I came for so that has also made it easy for me to adjust well.
The quality in this club also plays a big role so it's very easy to play with the quality players that we have in this team, everything starts from training and we always seek to implement what we do in training on the game as well and it always works out," Maswanganyi said.
Meanwhile, Riveiro has also showered Maswanganyi with praises reiterating that he has a very educated foot and he knows his role and position in the team very well.
Pirates will now turn their attention to the MTN8 as they prepare to take on Stellenbosch FC in the first leg of the 2nd semi-final on Sunday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.
