Parliament has announced that they will be launching another Eskom inquiry that is mandated at looking into the allegations against Eskom's CEO  Andre de Ruyter. This follows complaints lodged to the  Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) by chief procurement officer Solly Tshitangano who has been suspended for poor performance and is currently undergoing disciplinary hearing.

Tshigano is accusing De  Ruyter and other Eskom senior officials of purging black suppliers as well as complaints regarding other contracts. Chairperson of scopa Mkhulelo Hlengwa said another inquiry into Eskom is needed in order to resolve the allegations against De Ruyter. The ongoing conflicts between internal Eskom's senior management have been previously presented before Scopa.

The Committer is said to be seeking legal advice as to how to deal with the matter at hand.
