Orlando Pirates look to make it 3 out of 3 on Tuesday evening

Orlando Pirates are aiming at winning their third consecutive game in all competitions as they travel to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday evening for an encounter with Chippa United in the DStv Premiership.

Fresh from a convincing victory in the MTN 8 quarter-final against Sekhukhune United over the past weekend, Pirates are oozing with confidence heading into the encounter after also winning their last league match 4-2 at the hands of Royal AM last week Tuesday.

Ahead of the encounter on Tuesday night, Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro will be hoping his dominant striking force that has scored 9 goals so far will continue to be lethal in front of goal against a Chippa United side that has not conceded any goal so far in the campaign.

Centre forward Zakhele Lepasa has been at the forefront of Pirates’ glut of scoring, with five goals in two outings, his hat-trick against Sekhukhune following a brace against Royal.

While Monnapule Saleng has scored a goal in each match with the two players being marvelous to watch alongside the influential young Relebohile Mofokeng, Patrick Maswanganyi and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.

This time last season Riveiro had a tough time dealing with questions about Pirates’ bluntness upfront, which resulted in the club hiring a striker’s coach, Scott Chickelday, who has now left the club.

Kick-off on Tuesday evening is at 19:30.
