Orlando Pirates legend Daniel "Sailor" Tshabalala has made a plea for a job within the South African football fraternity to make a contribution into the game’s development.

Tshabalala who played for Pirates from 2003 to 2006 retired in 2010 while playing for the now-defunct Platinum Stars.

Speaking during the Kaizer Chiefs legends vs Orlando Pirates legends match over the past weekend, Tshabalala reiterated that he is available to take up any coaching or managerial work in the footbal fraternity.

“I am looking for a job at the moment as a coach or even management but I am currently working on something and hopefully something will come up soon," Tshabalala said.

The 45-year-old who currently holds the CAF B license, SAFA level 1, as well as Sports Management with FIFA, furthermore explained that he is willing to take up any challenge within the football fraternity.

"The qualifications are there, I just need an opportunity because I am not scared of any challenge, its all about pressure and challenges, so if given a chance, I would do something to contribute to football," Tshabalala added.

Meanwhile, the legend also expressed his views on the current Orlando Pirates team that has managed to secure the 2023/24 CAF Champions League spot and also clinch both the MTN 8 and the Nedbank Cup titles.

"I am happy because, in the past two seasons, we were not performing well so winning two cups in a single season is a good achievement and I think the boys can only be better from here."
