Teenage sensation Vicky Mkhawana has signed his first professional contract with Kaizer Chiefs.

The towering midfielder who has had an outstanding season in Amakhosi's DStv Diski Challenge team becomes another promising prospect for the Glamour Boys who are still in the rebuilding process under Arthur Zwane.

The 17 year-old will now join the likes of Mduduzi Shabalala, Samkelo Zwane, Happy Mashiane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo just to name a few who have graduated from the Kaizer Chiefs DDC team to the senior team next season.

Having participated in the 2023 under 17 African Cup of Nations tournament with Amajimbos, Mkhawana was one of the standout players for the South African side scoring three goals in four matches as Duncan Crowie's side crashed out of the tournament in the quarter-finals.

For his consistent performance in Chiefs' DDC side and outstanding display in the U/17 African Cup of Nations, the Glamour Boys have now rewarded Mkhawana with a three-year contract that will begin from next season.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will host Cape Town City at the FNB Stadium on Saturday the 20th of May for their last DStv Premiership match of the 2022/23 season.
