Minister of Home Affairs, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi opens a new office at a shopping centre

The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, opened a new Home Affairs office at the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in Tshwane today. This is following promises to ensure that the services of the department are easily accessed by all.

Calls for a better Home Affairs system with fewer queues and accessibility are finally being heard. This is the department’s plan that kicked off today in a shopping centre in Tshwane.

According to the Department of Home Affairs, the new office will offer Identity Document (ID) and passport application and collections services, which will see the public being able to utilise such a service when shopping.

The Home Affairs Menlyn Office is set to result in the alleviation of pressure from high-volume offices around the City of Tshwane but moreover will see the growth of a partnership that is mutually beneficial between the department and Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.

This new partnership is set to mark the beginning of many more, with the Home Affairs Minister looking to create more opportunities to grant the public more access to Home Affairs’ services.
