Mamelodi Sundowns take aim at TS Galaxy in the last 16 of the Carling Knockout Cup

Mamelodi Sundowns will travel to the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night to face TS Galaxy in the last 16 of the Carling Knockout Cup.

Heading into the match after 3-1 loss to rivals Orlando Pirates a fortnight ago, Sundowns' Rulani Mokwena has expressed his fulfilment of the opponent they were drawn with.

"It would have been difficult with any other opponent, so we take it, TS Galaxy are a very good team, well structured and are a much stronger than last season, they did some incredible work during the transfer period, and they have a very good coach with a very strong technical team.

We are looking forward to the game knowing very well that it's a cup game and one we have to enjoy once again,” Mokwena said.

The Brazilians however, will be without the services of Ronwen Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Grant Kekana, Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau, Mothobi Mvala and Themba Zwane who are all currently on national duty with Bafana Bafana.

With the likes of Sipho Mbule, Lucas Ribeiro, Lesiba Nku and Bathusi Aubaas also nursing injuries, it will be interesting to see how Mokwena will rotate his squad in order to put on a formidable team against Galaxy on Wednesday night.

Kick-off in that encounter is 19:30.
