Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro is relieved about the upcoming FIFA International break as he plans to use to polish certain aspects in his team.

Pirates are on a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions while also scoring 18 goals in their last seven matches and only conceding four.

With the DStv Premiership, MTN8 and the CAF Champions League keeping the Sea Robbers busy in the just ended month of August, Riveiro has revealed there are small things that they will try to work on without having the pressure of preparing for competitive matches.

"We had a long journey in August so it's a well-deserved pause, it’s not even a break, it’s not going to be long, unfortunately however, we will use the time to prepare for the upcoming games, it's a time that we can use to work on small things and individuals that we can help to polish certain things because we don’t have the rush of any competition or pressure of any competition," Riveiro said.

With Pirates returning to action when they host Jwaneng Galaxy on the weekend of the 15th and the 16nth of September in the CAF Champions League, Riveiro has reiterated that the break is also an important moment of the season.

"As coaches, we really like this period because it is like a secondary period in planning and since it’s a very important moment of the season we have to use it very well," Riveiro added.
