Appearing at the Bloemfontein High court on Tuesday, Senohe Matsoara, Teboho Lipholo, Buty Masemola and Tieho Makgotsa were all denied bail while Natassja Jansen was granted R10 000 bail.

Jansen is expected to report to the Heidedal SAPS at 06:00 and 18:00 every Friday and she has also been ordered to not have any contact with the state witnesses and she is not allowed to leave Bloemfontein without the permission of the investigating officer.

Magistrate Motlholo Khabisi said the interest of justice did not permit Matsoara, Lipholo, Masukela and Makhotsa to be released on bail therefore they will remain in custody as the case was postponed to the 20th of June 2023.

Meanwhile Dr Nandipha Magudumana who is also part of Bester's prison escape, wants the court to nullify and set aside the criminal proceedings before the Bloemfontein magistrate's court and she also wants the court to declare that she is entitled to be released from prison.
