The stars of South African content creation took the spotlight at the dazzling DStv Content Creator Awards 2023, an electrifying celebration of creativity and innovation. 

With almost 40,000 public votes and over 90 nominees, this event illuminated the Galleria in Sandton, setting the stage for a night of unforgettable moments.

In the presence of notable personalities like Lasizwe, K Naomi, and Julia Anastasopoulos, the Purple Carpet came alive with excitement and glamour. 

Donovan Goliath, an award-winning comedian and content creator, guided the evening with humour and energy, while SA legends Black Motion provided electrifying live music.

Among the highlights, the Visual Arts Award shone brightly on Karabo Poppy, recognising her exceptional talent and contribution to the creative landscape. 

The awards also marked the launch of the Thumb Stopper Podcast, promising an intimate glimpse into the lives of South Africa's beloved content creators and influencers.

Mihlali Ndamase was honoured with the first-ever OG Award, acknowledging her remarkable achievements in the industry. As the night unfolded, 19 creators claimed their well-deserved trophies, celebrating their contributions to South African content creation.

These awards, in association with Samsung Galaxy and supported by partners like TikTok and Spotify, reaffirmed the vibrant and evolving landscape of content creation in South Africa.
