Deon Hotto is optimistic Pirates will end the season on a high note

Orlando Pirates midfielder Deon Hotto is confident that the Buccaneers will get the much needed three points against AmaZulu in their last DStv Premiership match on Saturday afternoon.

Pirates travel to the Moses Mabhida Stadium after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United last week Saturday at the Orlando Stadium.

A result that somehow sabotaged their chances of wrapping up the race to the runners up spot along with SuperSport United.

Currently occupying the second spot in the DStv Premiership table with 51 points after 29 matches, Pirates are level on points with third place SuperSport United however, they have a superior goal difference.

Heading into the encounter against a familiar foe, Hotto has alluded that they are looking forward to ending the season on a positive note.

"We played our final home game of the season last week and although we didn't get the desired results, it was a good display from the team and we face them[Sekhukhune United] again in the Nedbank Cup final so at-least we know what to expect from them.

We are now looking forward to the last game of the season against AmaZulu and we obviously want to win the game so that we can qualify for the Champions League," Hotto said.

The Namibian international has been influential for the Buccaneers this season in the league and domestic trophies by playing a pivotal role in the side's 15 victories in the league.

Hotto was also part of the squad that managed to clinch the MTN 8 title the last time Pirates and AmaZulu met last year in November.

With the Buccaneers searching for another domestic title, the 32 year-old will be keen on helping his side defeat Babina Noko in the final of the Nedbank Cup on the 27th of May at Loftus Versfeld.
