Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe will miss the Glamour Boys' encounter against Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon at the Peter Mokaba stadium.

Sithebe has been ruled out of the encounter due to suspension after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season against Royal AM last week Sunday in the 2-1 Nedbank Cup triumph.

The former AmaZulu midfield maestro has been impressive for Chiefs since he joined the side from Naturena at the beginning of the season.

His attacking ability has seen form great interplay combinations with Yusuf Maart and Samkelo Zwane right in the middle of the park for Arthur Zwane's men.

The 30 year old Newcastle born has made 23 appearances for Chiefs in all competitions this season, that proving his worth as an integral part of Amakhosi's midfield.

Meanwhile, Chiefs will also be without the services of regular left back Sifiso Hlanti after also picking up his fourth yellow card of the season in the Nedbank Cup triumph.

Hlanti who has also been influential in the black and gold colours of Amakhosi this season has made 25 appearances across all competitions and also going on to score numerous goals in the process.

His[Hlanti] absence from the team on Sunday will see Arthur Zwane more likely grant youngster Happy Mashiane a starting XI call-up as he[Mashiane] can also play as a left back player.

Chiefs will be seeking for revenge on Sunday after Sekhukhune spoiled Amakhosi's party on the 7th of January 2023 defeating the side from Naturena 1-0 at the FNB Stadium.

Zwane's men will also know that a victory for them will keep their 2023/24 CAF Champions League aspirations alive.

The Glamour Boys occupy the fourth spot on the DSTV Premiership table trailing second place SuperSport United by 3 points with five more matches to go this season.

The match on Sunday at the Peter Mokaba stadium will commence at 15:00.
