By Joburg Post

The defending champions , Mamelodi Sundowns were off-tune at home against a determined TS Galaxy. The champions who look fluid and flawless in their opening game against Cape Town City last Friday were stunned by the Mpumalanga side

They were matched matched pound for pound. Galaxy showed tactical and technical discipline, also compact in their game plan, with former Sundowns midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi leading the attack.

Mid-way through the first half against the run of play, Galaxy turned defence into attack and found space behind the Sundowns defence and Lefa Hlongwane scored the crucial goal after Ronwen Williams parried a shot onto his path.

The Champions struggled to find their rhythm and usual fluidity, while Galaxy rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty. Not many clear cut chances were created in this match, but had it not for the brilliance of Williams in goal, Sundowns might have gone 2-0 down, when he produced a great save Vilakazi on a one-one situation in the 36th minute.

Sundowns, have Kaizer Chiefs next at the weekend at home , in what promises to be a cracker of of encounter, as they will be out to try and avoid back to back defeats, against an Amakhosi side that is looking hungry and rejuvenated.
