Dube Birds collect maximum points in a 5-goal thriller in Dobsonville

While the country was celebrating women’s day, Swallows also joined in the celebrations by getting maximum points at home against Cape Town City, with 3-2 win
 
Within a quarter of an hour new signing Waseem Isaacs, rose majestically to connect with a great cross  delivered by Pentjie Zulu  and open the scoring for the home side. 
 
In the 22nd minute they doubled their lead with a magnificent grass-cutter scored by Tshediso Patjie. At this stage the birds were firmly in the driving seat. 
 
Four minutes later, Isaacs should have completed his brace, but failed to cross a cross in the box. 
 
In the half-hour mark, the citizens reduced the deficit to, with the lively Khanyisa Mayo the provider and new Venezuelen striker, Darwin Gonzalez applying the finish touch to bring city back into the match. 
 
The Venezuelen has been threatening before scoring, and now the birds were flying at a low-altitude. 
In the second half, Mayo levelled matters in the second half, with a header after his initial header was saved, he headed in the rebound. 
 
With the game looking like headed for draw, in the 91st minute substitute Mark Van Heerden, was judged to have fouled his man and the referee didn’t hesitate and pointed to the spot, and another substitute Lindokuhle Mtshali profited from his misfortune to score the winner . 
 
The birds will take confidence from this result  and performance after losing their opener to their Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates. For the Citizens they are now firmly rooted at the bottom of the log, after losing their opening game to the champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, need to improve their league form before getting on the continental travels in the CAF Champions League.
