Will Elon Let The Blue Bird Fly?

Since twitter accepted the offer to purchase from billionaire Elon Musk, everyday on the app has been ‘bout what the platform will look like under the Tesla boss.

The agreement may be set but money still needs to move for the buyout to be complete, failing which a Billion dollars needs to exchange hands from whichever party doesn’t honour the deal. 

Elon Musk has said that his primary focus would first be to take the company private and secondly to promote free speech that ‘offends both the left and the right equally’. 

Meanwhile Donald Trump, who has since been banned from twitter has gone ahead opening his own social media platform called Truth social which has been all the rave on different app stores & collecting users faster that both Twitter and Tik Tok.

At the rate Elon Musk is going, it wouldn’t be a shock that he has other plans wit this twitter talk, perhaps he doesn’t mind paying the billion dollars to scrap the deal & use the generated media for his other projects like Spacex space mission etc.

Founders of twitter share different views regarding the Musk takeover, wit Jack Dorsey endorsing it & saying Elon Musk is the ‘one solution he trusts’ to do what the platform needs but his former partner Biz Stone seemingly not ‘retweeting’ those sentiments.

Whatever ends up happening wit the agreement, one thing is for sure, Twitter needed this kind of shake up noise that seems to have made many users reflect on it’s power & purpose.

One leaf many South Africans can pluck is that a South African dared to own the most influential social platform in the world to date.
