Parts Of Joburg To Experiences Water Cuts From Wednesday

Johannesburg Water has announced that the City of  Johannesburg will be experiencing water cuts from Wednesday, the cut is scheduled to go on for more than a day. Johannesburg Water says it is doing this to tie in new pipelines to existing mainlines.

“A planned ‘water tie-in’ will take the system offline for most of Wednesday and almost all of Thursday. Some regions will be left with no running water. Placement points for water tankers have been listed by the City.”

“Residents are encouraged to subscribe to Johannesburg Water’s website, or SMS notification service, for alerts on service interruptions. More information can be obtained on Twitter (@jhbwater) or Facebook (Johannesburg Water).” 

Below will be the affected areas :

 From 7:00 on Wednesday 28 July TO 22:00 on Thursday 29 July:
Johannesburg North, parts of Maroeladal, Cedar Lakes, Cedar Creek, parts of Broadacres, Cedar Avenue West, Needwood, Chartwell, parts of Kya Sands, parts of Northriding, Bloubosrand, and Farmall. 

From 8:30 TO 19:30 on Tuesday 3 August

All in Fleurhof) Smelt Street, Minerva Street, Winze Street, Sinkliene Street, Tantiem Street, Kalsiet Street, Chert Street, Siderite Street, Beryl Street, and Chute Street. 

 From 6:00 TO 22:00 on Tuesday 3 August:
Crown Gardens, Robertsham, Winchester Hills, Ridgeway, and the corner of Rifle Range Road & Xavier Road
