What's Trending: Mzwanele Manyi Reacts To Concourt's Decision On Zuma's Case

On Tuesday Morning the Constitutional Court Found Former President Zuma guilty of contempt of court and sentenced him to 15 months imprisonment. Following the ruling, many went to social media to voice out mixed emotions regarding the ruling.

In an interview, Zuma's Spokesperson, Mzwanele Manyi, said the Constitutional Court did not treat Zuma as it would any other citizen.
“President Zuma was not treated equally like the constitution has promised everyone. Zuma is the only person in SA whose right to appeal has been taken away just like that. It is the first time where you go straight from a motion court and skip the trial and incarcerate a person. So we have someone who has been incarcerated without a fair trial. It is a very tragic day in SA today,” Manyi said.

In a tweet Zuma's daughter Duduzile Zuma said

" Amandla! Just Spoke To My Father,  Is In High Spirits And Has No Fear. We Have A Choice Between Serving Our Time In Jhb Or Nkandla…Of Course We Have Chosen To Be Close To Home. Lockdown Or No Lockdown We Will Escort You To Serve Your Time."
