ANC NW Suspends former Premier Supra Mahumapelo And ANC Women’s League Acting Secretary Bitsa Lenkopane.

 The ANC Disciplinary Committee in the North West has suspended the former premier Supra Mahumapelo and ANC Women’s League Acting Secretary, Bitsa Lenkopane for five years, the committee has found them of being guilty of misconduct.

“Both the above-mentioned respondents have been found guilty as charged. The committee, therefore, concluded on the following: 1. That both members are hereby suspended from the ANC for a period of five years with immediate effect. 2. That both the respondents must be removed from the lists of public representatives of the ANC.” says Chairperson of the ANC Provincial Disciplinary Committee, Wendy Matsemela 

Matsemela says Mahumapelo must undergo a mentorship programme of political leadership under former President Thabo Mbeki for a period of three years. Lenkopane will be placed under a mentorship programme under comrade veteran Barbra Masikela to assist her for a period of five years.

Mahumapelo and Lenkopane can still appeal to this outcome should they wish to.
