Passengers were left stranded on Wednesday morning after Airports Company South Africa (Acsa) suspended Mango Airline's flights due to non-payment from the government (South African Airways and The Department of Public Enterprises). Passengers were forced to consider alternative means to reach their destination while discussions were underway in an attempt to reach an agreement.
Speaking to
eNCA on Wednesday morning Mango Airline’s spokesperson Benediction Zubane assured passengers that all will return to normal on Wednesday.
“All our flights are canceled for today…I need to confidently say that our discussions with Acsa are yielding results and therefore, they have allowed us to fly from tomorrow,” Zubane said to
eNCA. Following deliberations, the airline managed to reach an agreement with ACSA. They have announced that the flights will resume on Thursday.
