The Government Says Patients Will Be Moved Back To Charlotte Maxeke Hospital Following A Fire That Caused Great Damage To The Hospital's Structure.

 The government has implemented plans to transfer over 800 patients who were moved from the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital following the fire that resulted in great damages to the hospital's Facilities. The government has announced that they will begin the process this coming Saturday.

Speaking to Eye Witness News Thabo Masebe a provincial spokesperson said that "The rest of the hospital which was not affected by the fire is being prepared for the resumption of services and the return of patients. All patients will be transferred during the weekend of 1-2 May 2021,"

He also added that a preliminary probe into the structure of the hospital has found that there was significant damage to blocks three and four. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still underway, but no foul play is suspect.
