Weekend Round Up: MTN8 Semi- Finals

The soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates battled it out in their home ground Orlando  Stadium  for the first leg of the MTM 8 Championship.  Amakhosi battled it out and held it down  against Maritzburg United to book their spot in the last four, while the Buccaneers s held it down and defeated the  2018 champions Cape Town City to book thier spot in the semi finals 

The two teams are no strangers to turning up the  heat and creating great expectation and anticipation in the pitch hence fans were in great expectation  for the match. However Amakhosi fans tasted a bitter defeat as Pirates gave them a run for their money giving them a whopping 3-0 win.

Blomfontein Celtics also went to head with Super Sport United in the first  leg of the MTN 8 champion


Zambian international Gamphani Lungu provided an epic goal after the break. Following fortified defence by Celtics however none could stop this shot  which came out gun blazing. Celtics  Teboho Mokoena fired a long-range shot towards the end of the match leveling the ground.  The  final score for the match was 1-1 in the first leg. Celtic will be the happier of the two sides as  they  have bagged an away goal heading into the second leg which they will be playing in their home ground.
