Friday Motivation: Live in a day

By Phumzile Mavimbela

Its Friday again and what a better way to end the week than to reflect on your victories and losses. Last week we spoke about the power of bouncing back and today we speak about living in a day and not in a week. So many times we put pressure on ourselves by wanting to bite more than we can chew. That is resulted by our pursuit of pressuring ourselves to achieving all we want in a short span of time.

That at times it causes us to push ourselves beyond the limit such that we end up surviving than living. The ultimate goal in life is to enjoy every day as it comes. Enjoying every day though doesn’t mean you will be exempted from challenges but the beauty of it all is seeing yourself growing while over coming. In saying this, this Friday I am trying to say that life is a race and this race is not for the swift, neither is it for the strong.

This race is for the disciplined athletes who know that getting up is a must after every fall, the aim is to finish the race thus you need to focus on your track. This race is for those who understand what it means to stay disciplined, to keep your eyes on the prize and not on the person next you.

AT the end of the day you can only do so much, hence you need to patient with self. Know your strengths and weakness, know how far you can stretch. Never compromise yourself in pursuit of proving a point to others. Life is your race, so run in your lane with your own pace and set your own fate. As you reflect on what life dealt you this week. Know that you did only what you could do and that is enough. As you prepare for next week, remember that proper preparation prevents poor performance. Come now CHAMP be you can do this!!!!
