The ANC NEC meeting is said to reconvene later today on Monday. The meeting was disrupted after disagreements over the step-aside rule. According to the party's constitution, the rule states that any member facing criminal charges must step aside.  

Magashule and his Co-accused are facing 74 counts of fraud and corruption over the R233-million asbestos roof audit in the Free State. 

Timeslive has reported that the meeting descended into chaos as Magashule’s supporters fought back against the view of the majority of those in attendance that Magashule should step aside.
