Former Eskom CEO Koko Matshela Is Back At The Zondo Commission.

Former Eskom CEO Matshela Koko is at Back the Zondo Commission of enquiry to continue with his testimony. 

The last time Matshela gave testimony before the Commission he accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of being biased and said that Ramaphosa acted in the best interest of Coal supplier Glencore while marginalizing  Eskom. 

following being accused of sharing intricate information about Eskom to Salim Essa a businessman linked to the Guptas. Matshela Koko today denied these allegations stating that he was under the impression that the email belonged to former Board Chair Ben Ngubane.  He said he was flabbergasted to know that the information landed to external parties. 

“I learnt from the first time that it relates to the guarantee. I didn’t even know about it. I subsequently later in the afternoon met Suzanne during lunchtime and I asked if she had looked at the email. And she said it was under control.” Said Koko

The former Eskom CEO said he was made to believe that the email belonged to Ngubane  by the Eskom's former head of legal and compliance team Suzzane Daniels.  During her testimony last week, Daniels denied lying to Koko as she told the Commission that Koko was misleading the them by saying that he didn't know that the email didn't belonged to Ngubane.
