It Been A Dark And Trying Week For The South African Media Landscape

The past week has been rather dark and trying for the  entertainment industry. The South African Television screensand radio airwaves have been robbed of immaculate talent .

The recent addition to the list of great losses is South African actor Sam Phillips who died during the weekend at age 72. The news was confirmed by his agency Gaenor Artiste Management.

His agency remembered him as a revered actor, director, producer, writer, and music composer who featured in well-known productions including Phamokate, Backstage, Soul City, The Wild, and Isibaya.

He has also featured in international plays like Athol Fugard's Master Herold and The Boys in New Orleans.
