What's Trending : Two Prisoners Escape From Kgosi Mampuru Prison.

Two Prisoners have escaped from from the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre in Tshwane on Wednesday. Following the escape the Department of Correctional Services has launched a manhunt of the two prisoners. The Department says one of the prisoners was serving a life sentence.
 
The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) spokesperson Zacharia Nxumalo says they have  identified the first escapee as Thabo Muyambo, a Mozambican national who's serving a life sentence for a string of crimes including rape, robbery and kidnapping and his accomplice is Johannes Chauke is a Zimbabwean national serving a 20-year sentence for housebreaking offences.

The officials are working with the police to re-arrest the two suspects. More so the department has also launched an internal investigation to determine how the two managed to escape.

“The two are still at large and members of the DCS and SAPS are hot on their heels and they will ensure that the two are brought back behind bars.”  says Nxumalo
