Fugitives Shephard Bushiri and Mary Bushiri have handed themselves over to the police in Malawi. The two left South Africa under mysterious conditions violating their bail conditions last week.

According to BBC on Wednesday morning the two handed themselves over to  the authorities in area 30 in Lilogwe. Police in Malawi  have confirmed the arrest of the Bushiris following a warrant of arrest issued by Interpol in Pretoria on Monday 16 November 2020.
 

Speaking to eNCA on Wednesday,  Malawi Minister of Information Gospel Kazako  said :

"He [Bushiri] is in police custody and he will be appearing in court soon. Malawi is founded on the rule of law. Interpol in Pretoria indicated what we needed to do and we looked at our laws and decided to act,”
