ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule Will Appear In Court This Friday, For Charges Related To Corruption.

The Secretary General of the ANC Ace Magashule has  been served with  a warrant of arrest on Tuesday 10 November in connection to a R255-million asbestos audit contract in the Free State. Magashule is expected to have his day in court on Friday. The corruption allegations date back to when he was still Premier in  the Free State in 2014.

Scopio has revealed that  A joint venture between businessman Edwin Sodi's Blackhead Consulting and the late Igo Mpambani's Diamond Hill Trading 74 clinched the lucrative asbestos audit contract from the Free State's department of human settlements (FSHS) in 2014.

Sodi and other businesspeople linked to the deal have already been arrested and charged, along with several former government officials.  Edwin Sodi and his six co-accused appeared at the Bloemfontein Magistrate court on Wednesday Morning. The case has been postponed to Febraury 2021. Magashule is expected to join a long list of former government officials and businesspeople who were arrested in October regarding allegations of corruption related to the asbestos tender. 

The ANC's top six met on Tuesday night to discuss the allegations facing the Secretary General.
