Friday Motivation: The Power of Bouncing Back

By Phumzile Mavimbela

How was your week? Has your mind adapted to the new normal? As the country has moved back to level one everyone is fighting to settle into the new normal. Everything seems to be going back to its normal and usual functionality. The lock down caused much economic distress such that many people lost their jobs, people shut the doors of their companies and  others applied for payment holidays on their debts . However now with everything is slowly transitioning  back to normal yet many are still struggling to make ends meet.

Nonetheless every challenge comes with an opportunity, and  for  today' s Friday motivation piece, we say use, this weekend to plan a strong come back for the new week.

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BOUNCE BACK!!

So many times we find our selves stumbling over the same block again and again... and again. That alone pushes many to throw away the towel of hope while the sweat of despair and perplexity continues to flow from our inner thoughts right to the depths of our hearts.

Truth is that we all find ourselves in between a rock and a hard place AT SOME POINT IN OUR LIVES!

However what defines you is not the fall but the great strides that come with putting that one foot up while the other one follows suit . Most of the time we are kept and wearied down by the truth we keep from ourselves. Which is knowing that you are above every storm and that for every Goliath there is a David in you.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU FEED YOUR MIND!!
This is the honest truth.. come to think of the greatest people to  ever live, check if at some point in their lives those people never had to go through a rough patch be it financially or in other aspects of their lives. life is only perfect in cartoons or movies. The main picture I am trying to bring to play is that, in the midst of great trials your pursuit should always be to rise above the situation and to GET BACK UP AGAIN. No matter what it takes , it may not be instant but it is possible.

Even it means finding new friends ,new hobbies, joining the gym, starting a new course, changing professions or even getting rid of demotivating hobbies.

Like a boxer in the ring the pursuit is not to get knocked out with a jab or two, continue fighting,
YOU can manage to stay on your feet.

YOU ARE WAY STRONGER THAN THAT SITUATION!!

Use this weekend to reflect and learn. Next week has so  much to yield. Happy Friday!
