#SAElections2019: ANC To Prevail In National Poll But Drops Below 50% In Gauteng As Counting Continues

National and provincial election results have been trickeling in since counting began. As of 13:25pm, 86.88% of voting districts votes were verified and counted.
The ANC, DA, EFF, VF+,IFP, ACDP, GOOD, ATM, AIC, COPE and NFP have all secured the minimum 35 000 votes to go into Parliment. COPE which is currently sitting at 34 643 is also likley to secure a seat in the National Assembly.
14 111 929 votes have been counted and verified and the results so far are as follows:
AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS ANC: 8 071 109 | 57.19 %
AFRICAN CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY ACDP: 125 150 0.89 %
UNITED DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT UDM: 69 801 | 0.49 %
AFRICAN TRANSFORMATION MOVEMENT ATM: 65 114 | 0.46 %
GOOD GOOD: 63 869 | 0.45 %
CONGRESS OF THE PEOPLE COPE: 39 569 0.28 %
NATIONAL FREEDOM PARTY NFP: 47 240 | 0.33 %
While there have been some complaints these elections have largely been ruled to be free and fair and throughout the day Joburg Post will keep you updated on the latest results.
