Q: What  is your favourite hangout spot in Joburg and why?

A:

Mezepoli is my favourite hang out spot, because of their Mediterranean menu that offers such variety and the atmosphere, especially on Sundays, it lends itself to a great family outing. Kids ride their bikes and scooters in the piazza, sometimes Melrose Arch put up a massive jumping castle.

 

Q: What are your favourite things to do in Joburg ?

A:

 Packing a picnic basket and going to the Zoo Lake with family and friends. Simply life pleasure is what the city offers as well.

Q:  Who are two most favourite Joburg residents for you  and why?

A: 

Call me bias, my husband is my absolute favourite Joburg resident and my sister Johanna. My husband is someone I thoroughly enjoy having conversations with and my sister is funny, she is literally a stand up comedienne and whenever I’m with her I’m always in stitches.

Q:  What’s your earliest memory of the city?

A: 

Going to the Carlton Centre with my Mom, Dad and siblings to go and have breakfast at Garlics. It was always such a treat and month-end, we would look forward to that outing.

Q:  What’s your favourite iconic feature about the city ?

A:

 My favourite iconic feature in Joburg is the Ponte City building in Berea, it is an architectural masterpiece and was ahead of its time. It comes alive when it’s lit at night!

Q:  What makes the city special for you ?

A:

 Joburg has a buzz of its own, it has raw energy, it’s a city that is alive with possibilities and a melting pot of cultures and very cosmopolitan.

Q: What is  a must do and see in the Joburg?

A:

 Must do: The Sheds at 1 Fox precinct, where first miners pitched their tents during the gold rush. It now has a lovely restaurant called Urbanologi. Must see: You have to hang in Maboneng, that place has some serious street cred!

Q:  What’s the most underrated place in the city ? Your hidden gem .

A:

 I think 44 Stanley is underrated and my hidden Gem and has the most delicious bunless burger at Il Gardino. My office is not far rom there, so Im often there for lunch meetings.
